Michael is a distinguished Chinese interpreter and acclaimed English training expert with 17 years of experience in both fields. Specialising in business and political interpreting, he has worked with high-profile figures including Australia’s former Treasurer.
In 2019, Michael founded Dandelion Talks – a social enterprise inspired by the impact of TED Talks, tailored for the Chinese community. With over 140 events to date, Dandelion Education covers diverse topics including entrepreneurship, AI, career, health, and finance. Under Michael’s visionary leadership, the platform has become a catalyst for cross-cultural collaboration, personal growth, and community advancement.
George is a hands-on business advisor who has lived through the full journey of acquiring, growing, transforming, and exiting a business. Without any industry background, he acquired and ran an Australian skincare clinic, grew revenue from under $1M to $3.5M in 18 months all while working only 10 hours a week and sold it for triple the purchase price.
George now dedicates his time to helping other business owners plan and execute successful exits so they can pursue their personal goals.
Wally seasoned business coach and mentor with over 25 years of combined experience in corporate leadership and running multiple successful businesses with high profit margins. Having achieved financial freedom and retired at the age of 41, Wally now dedicates his time to helping other business owners create profitable, self-sustaining enterprises that align with their personal goals. This Dandelion gathering marked a refreshing change from the traditional breakfast meeting format — our very first wine networking event. The atmosphere was warm and vibrant, and it was a delightful surprise to enjoy the exquisite wines from Guang’s collection. In just over a day, nearly 50 guests were brought together — an impressive testament to the community’s incredible connection and influence. Lorena’s presentation today was truly rich in insights. While my own experience with AI has so far been limited to ChatGPT, I have already gained so much from her sharing: expanded thinking, emotional reassurance, and the sense of having a trusted advisor and friend. The potential fusion of AI with e-commerce promises to be an exciting frontier. I look forward to exploring these possibilities and witnessing the inspiring opportunities they may bring.
